The Friends proposed and partly financed the upgrading of the unit and the refurbishment of ward and patients’ facilities.

Chemotherapy Theatment

The Friends have been able to give funds and support for this service, providing cancer patients with local treatment to save long trips out of the area which can add to an already stressful situation.

Updating of Equipment & Facilities

£700,000

To include major equipment and medical items such as defibrillator, ECG machine, ultrasound, a special reclining bath and furniture to facilitate nursing care and patient comfort.

The Triangle Centre

The League also supports this invaluable service to the local community.

In 2011 the South Hams Hospital League of Friends reached the milestone of contributing more than £2 million towards the hospital, all due to the generosity of our donors and volunteers.
